The group Stray Kids decorated the grand finale as the Day 2 headliner of the completely sold-out massive US music festival, 'The Governors Ball Music Festival'.
Stray Kids took the closing stage on the second day of 'The Governors Ball Music Festival,' held on June 6 (local time) at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York, USA. This event, New York's largest outdoor music festival, set a record this year by selling out all tickets for the entire three-day run. In particular, the headliner lineup included renowned artists such as Stray Kids, Röyskopp, A$AP Rocky, Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, and Jennie, once again proving the group's immense popularity as a global top artist.
Appearing before an audience of approximately 45,000 that day with a majestic anthem, Stray Kids elicited passionate cheers with a relentless, high-energy performance. They paraded their signature tracks encapsulating the group's essence, such as 'TOPLINE', 'S-Class', 'Bounce Back', 'MANIAC', 'DOMINO', and 'Thunderous'. This was followed by intense performances during the 'Mountain', 'Walkin On Water', and 'God's Menu' segments, utilizing traditional Korean props and costumes like Hansam (long sleeves) and fans to deliver the profound charm of their choreography.
Afterward, 'Chk Chk Boom', 'ITEM', 'Laika' (樂), and 'Social Path (Korean Ver.)' were arranged with rock sounds that elevated the audience's heart rates and amplified the excitement. 'Side Effects', 'Do It', and 'CEREMONY', layered with EDM sounds, sent thrills through the crowd, pushing the festival's fervor to its peak. Stray Kids' passionate energy and stage command, unleashed atop a live band sound, provided an exhilarating catharsis, which the audience reciprocated with enthusiastic sing-alongs. Filling the runtime with a unique setlist varied to match diverse genres and concepts, they successfully wrapped up the stage with 'NOEASY' and 'MIROH'.
Meanwhile, having added 'The Governors Ball Music Festival' to their list of global festival headlining stages—following 'Lollapalooza Paris', 'I-Days', 'British Summer Time Hyde Park', and 'Lollapalooza Chicago'—Stray Kids will continue their activities into the second half of the year. They are scheduled to close out the Brazilian music festival 'Rock in Rio' on September 11. They will also continue their reputation as global headliners by completing highlights at the new festival 'STRAYCITY', spearheaded by Stray Kids, in Bogota, Colombia on September 9; Buenos Aires, Argentina from September 14–15; and Mexico City, Mexico on September 25–26.
