Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken plans to launch a perpetual futures service in the United States within the next 30 days. According to a report by Cointelegraph, the service will be offered in full compliance with the regulations of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

This perpetual futures service is scheduled to operate based on the infrastructure of the Bitnomial exchange, which was acquired by Kraken's parent company, Payward. Previously, in April, Payward officially announced the acquisition of Bitnomial for up to 550 million USD (approximately 750 billion KRW).

Meanwhile, rival exchange Coinbase recently launched a service providing US institutional investors with access to the global cryptocurrency options and perpetual futures market immediately after receiving CFTC approval, entering the race to preempt the market.
