According to the latest tally by the Web3 security firm CertiK, the total losses from hacking in the cryptocurrency market during the month of May amounted to $68.3 million (approximately 92 billion won). This represents a roughly 90% decrease compared to the previous month, which recorded $650 million in losses.

An analysis of CertiK's report reveals that approximately $2.6 million of the total hacking losses in May were caused by phishing attacks designed to steal personal information. Fortunately, about $9.4 million of the lost funds were confirmed to have been successfully recovered or returned.
