Baemin Academy Surpasses 357,000 Cumulative Students... Strengthening AI Education and Expanding Customized Programs

Baemin Academy, the food service education arm of Baedal Minjok, has surpassed 350,000 cumulative students and is expanding its AI and customized education programs. As of the end of April, the cumulative number of students reached 357,174, an increase of about 50,000 in just one year since surpassing the 300,000 mark on April 30 last year.

Established in 2014, Baemin Academy has supported food service industry workers by providing free practical training, theoretical courses, and consulting programs. It expanded its offline spaces by opening the Seoul Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul in 2017 and the Gyeonggi Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do in 2022, while also reducing time and space constraints by introducing online courses in 2020. A combined total of 4,485 training sessions have been conducted online and offline.

In real-time application-based training, popular menu development, AI utilization methods, and short-form SNS marketing strategies garnered attention, while video education saw popularity in practical courses such as labor affairs, tax affairs, and commercial lease agreements. Recently, the academy also introduced a course where AI technology is integrated into actual store operations to produce tangible results, such as creating websites and posters.

Students do not stop at one-off participation; a cumulative total of 165 people have joined the food service owners' network 'Baemin Friends,' launched in 2020, with the 11th cohort currently active. These members share experiences and information through volunteer work, mentor-mentee programs, and business pitching.

Woowa Brothers plans to further expand its education to include understanding food ingredients, data-driven market research, and improving menu completeness, while also enhancing its AI and region-specific customized programs.

Park Dong-hee, owner of the 'Nia I Coffee' cafe in Songpa-gu, Seoul, stated, "I was able to fill in the gaps of my store through high-quality education and advice from mentors." Lee Beom-rye, owner of the 'Somunnan Uijeongbu Budaejjigae' restaurant in Dongdaemun-gu, also noted, "The biggest advantage is that it helps you immediately apply what is necessary for the food service business."

Kwon Yong-gyu, Director of Baemin Academy, stated, "Baemin Academy was started to enhance the competitiveness of food service establishments and provide practical help." He added, "Moving forward, we aim to be a reliable partner by strengthening the competitiveness of our food service partners and offering programs where they can experience tangible effects."
