Layer 3 blockchain Orbs (ORBS) has announced that it will proceed with its Mainnet V5 upgrade. This V5 upgrade further enhances the efficiency of existing network operations, notably featuring the introduction of a new mechanism called 'committee synchronization'.

Committee synchronization is a key function that propagates the official state of the committee to an EVM chain by utilizing the collected signatures of Guardians. This further enhances the effectiveness of network operations.

Meanwhile, Orbs possesses the structural characteristic of not holding any TVL (Total Value Locked) or funds on its own chain. Consequently, Orbs offers the advantage of being relatively safe from security risks such as hacks or exploits.
