The Seoul Metropolitan Government informed citizens that airplane noise may occur in the skies over Seoul due to ceremonial flights held in observance of Memorial Day.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 6th, Memorial Day-related ceremonial flights will take place from 4:40 p.m. to around 5:10 p.m. on this day. Accordingly, aircraft noise may occur in the skies over Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government sent a safety alert text to citizens that afternoon, stating, "Airplane noise may occur today between 16:40 and approximately 17:10 due to Memorial Day-related ceremonial flights."

This noise is known to be unrelated to any emergency situation or accident. However, a loud engine sound may be temporarily heard as the aircraft passes by.

Previously, the Seoul Metropolitan Government had also informed some areas the morning before about the potential for aircraft noise due to training for the Memorial Day ceremonial flights.
