BTS continues to dominate by breaking global chart records with their 5th full-length album, 'Arirang'.
BTS's 'Arirang' took its cumulative 8th No. 1 spot on the Spotify 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart (aggregated from May 29 to June 4). With this, they surpassed Bad Bunny to set a new record for the most No. 1s this year. The title track 'SWIM' maintained its position at No. 4 on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart, while a total of 12 tracks, including B-sides, remained on the chart for 11 consecutive weeks. Additionally, by charting a total of 13 songs on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart, they became the artist with the most entries on that day.
This upward trend continued on major global charts. On the UK Official Albums Chart, 'Arirang' ranked 33rd, up five spots from the previous week, and placed high across detailed charts including sales, physical, and streaming. In the album category of Germany's official music chart, it ranked 6th, maintaining its 'Top 10' position for 11 consecutive weeks, and it also ranked 6th on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart.
The recently released performance music video for the B-side track 'Hooligan' reached No. 1 on YouTube Trending Worldwide. American music media outlet Consequence also selected 'SWIM' and 'Hooligan' as the best songs of the first half of 2026, highly praising BTS's ability to pull off various genres and their true musical value.
Meanwhile, BTS will hold their world tour concerts at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium on the upcoming 12th and 13th. Notably, the second day of the concert on the 13th marks the 13th anniversary of BTS's debut, and the festival '2026 BTS FESTA' will be held simultaneously, making it an even more meaningful time.
