Hanon Systems (018880) is drawing market attention after exhibiting high volatility on the 16th, ultimately closing with a sharp decline.

According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on this day, Hanon Systems started strongly as buying interest flowed in early in the session. As a result, a static Volatility Control Mechanism (VCM) was triggered at 10:43:11 a.m., and was lifted approximately two minutes later at 10:45:28 a.m.

The share price surged to as high as 5,720 won during the session. However, a flood of profit-taking sell orders followed, wiping out all gains and sending the stock into a sharp decline. As time passed, selling pressure continued to dominate, pushing the stock price into negative territory.

As of 10:51 a.m., Hanon Systems is trading at 5,240 won, down 440 won (7.75%) from the previous trading day, widening its losses. Following the sharp reversal in momentum, investor attention is focused on the future direction of the stock price.
