Park Min-seok of the group NEWBEAT will make his acting debut through his casting in a Japanese drama.

According to his agency, Park Min-seok has been confirmed to appear in the new drama 'Your Sky Harenochi Koi' on the Japanese terrestrial channel TOKYO MX.

This work is a Japanese remake of the popular Thai BL drama 'Your Sky,' which aired in 2024. It depicts the story of Hinata (played by Ayuta Fukuda), a purely positive boy, and Sora (played by Isshin Aihara), a popular senior figure at their university.

In the drama, Park Min-seok takes on the role of Mun Da-on, a mysterious Korean international student. He will appear as the third couple who adds vitality to the drama, marking his first acting challenge since his debut.

Park Min-seok shared his thoughts, saying, "I am honored and happy to participate in this work," and added, "I am thrilled and highly anticipate taking on my first acting challenge." He continued, "Taking this drama as an opportunity, I am studying Japanese hard and preparing with my utmost effort, so I ask for your keen interest."

Meanwhile, NEWBEAT, the group Park Min-seok belongs to, gained global attention by ranking first in six categories on Amazon Music in the United States with 'Look So Good,' a double title track from their first mini-album released in November of last year, and by entering the YouTube Music TOP 100 chart. Furthermore, following winning the Rookie of the Year award at the 17th 2025 Seoul Success Awards, they recently completed their activities in China and successfully held their first nationwide tour since debut.

'Your Sky Harenochi Koi,' starring Park Min-seok, will premiere on August 2 at 1:30 AM on TOKYO MX. Prior to this, a preview screening of the first episode will be held on July 5 at the Tokyo Big Sight International Conference Center, where the cast will meet with local fans.
