Singer Cho Yong-pil has reclaimed the top spot in the June 2026 Netizens Awards Grand Star category for the first time since March.

According to the tally as of 6:40 p.m. on the 15th, Cho Yong-pil took first place with 2,526 votes (31.9%). Koo Chang-mo ranked second with 2,444 votes (30.8%), closely trailing by a mere 82 votes. In addition, Kim Wan-sun took third place with 815 votes (10.3%), followed by Lee Sun-hee (513 votes, 6.5%) and Shin Seung-hoon (419 votes, 5.3%). Legendary singers such as Na Hoon-a (345 votes) and Nam Jin (280 votes) also made their presence felt in the upper rankings.

Cho Yong-pil and Koo Chang-mo have been the leading contenders consistently competing for the top spot in this year's Grand Star category. In particular, the two have been locked in a fierce battle within a two-horse race this month, with Cho Yong-pil ultimately reclaiming the summit. However, Koo Chang-mo continues to steadily garner votes based on his solid fandom, leaving open the possibility that the rankings could flip at any time.

There is still time left before voting closes. Given the nature of the Netizens Awards, concentrated fan voting could bring about ranking changes even within a short period. Whether Cho Yong-pil, who successfully reclaimed the lead for the first time since March, can maintain his momentum or Koo Chang-mo will launch a counterattack, the final outcome of the Grand Star category is expected to be determined by fans' voting enthusiasm in the remaining period.
