Domestic nuclear power-related stocks collectively recorded declines in trading on the 19th ahead of the weekend. Market attention is focused on how next week's trading will unfold.

By individual stock, Doosan Enerbility closed at 96,700 won, down 2.91% from the previous trading day, falling below the 100,000-won level. Woory Technology also closed at 14,500 won, down 1.89%. The contraction in investment sentiment appears to have spread across the broader nuclear power sector.

The declining stocks on this day were not limited to these, extending to Korea Power Engineering (-9.58%), Orbitech (-8.23%), Wusin Entech (-6.27%), Mobis (-4.65%), Korea Electric Power Corporation (-3.81%), Soosan Industries (-3.15%), Korea Electric Power Corporation KPS (-3.13%), Wusin (-2.51%), Geumhwa PSC (-1.84%), and Daechang Solution (-0.80%). Selling pressure dominated select stocks, with the concurrent weakness of Doosan Enerbility and Woory Technology particularly standing out.

On the same day, the KOSPI turned lower after hitting an intraday high, and the KOSDAQ index also closed lower.

Meanwhile, U.S. stock markets were closed on the 19th (local time) as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq shut down for the Juneteenth federal holiday. U.S. markets are scheduled to resume normal trading on the 22nd (local time). Global investors are paying close attention to the direction of U.S. markets when they reopen after the weekend, as well as the trajectory of domestic nuclear power stocks.
