Doosan Enerbility (034020) lost the 90,000-won level, breaking the '90,000-bility' magic that investors had been touting. As the KOSPI plunged to the point where a Stage 1 circuit breaker (CB) was triggered during trading, the representative nuclear power stock could not avoid the market downturn.

On the KRX trading floor on the 23rd, Doosan Enerbility closed at 89,200 won, down 5,000 won (-5.31%) from the previous trading day. Amid a recent streak of weakness, the stock ultimately surrendered the 90,000-won defense line that day.

The domestic stock market underwent a sharp correction that day. The KOSPI index closed at 8,203.84, down 910.71 points (-9.99%) from the previous day. As the decline widened during trading, a circuit breaker was triggered in the securities market. The KOSDAQ index also closed at 891.52, down 7.93%, failing to escape the downward trend.

With overall market investment sentiment freezing rapidly, Doosan Enerbility, classified as a nuclear power stock, also declined without exception. Investors' attention is now focused on the possibility of expanded stock market volatility going forward and the direction of nuclear power stocks.
