Vitzro Nextech will participate in a project to develop production technology for high-value chemical products by assuming the remaining research and development (R&D) duties and related outcomes of a national project from Dawonsys.
Vitzro Nextech announced through a regulatory filing on the 22nd that it has assumed the remaining R&D duties and related outcomes of Dawonsys, which had been selected as a joint R&D institution for a national project organized by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KEIT) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The assignee is Vitzro Nextech and the assignor is Dawonsys, with both the confirmed date of assignment and the date of occurrence being June 22, 2026. Vitzro Nextech reported June 22, the date on which it confirmed the official document from KEIT, as the date of occurrence.
Assigned Project is 'Plasma System for Carbon Black Production'
The project assumed this time is the 'Development of Production Technology for High-Value Chemical Products from Byproduct Gas in the Naphtha Cracking Process.' As a joint R&D institution for this national project, Vitzro Nextech will carry out the 'design, manufacturing, demonstration, and operational evaluation of a plasma system for carbon black production.' The project period runs from June 15, 2026 to December 31, 2030.
Total Research Budget of 11.6 Billion Won, Equivalent to 19.7% of Equity Capital
The total research budget for the project is 11,612,800,000 won, equivalent to 19.7% of Vitzro Nextech's equity capital of 58,953,299,223 won. Of this, the government contribution amounts to 7,778,800,000 won, or 13.2% of equity capital.
However, according to the filing, this does not mean that Vitzro Nextech has directly won a new 11.6 billion won project. Rather, it involves assuming the remaining R&D duties and related outcomes of a national project that Dawonsys had been executing, thereby succeeding to the status of joint R&D institution.
