Korea Electric Power Corp. Engineering & Construction (KEPCO E&C) has been designated as an 'Investment Caution Item' by the Korea Exchange due to a sharp change in its closing price.

In a disclosure on the 12th, the Korea Exchange announced that KEPCO E&C was designated as an 'Investment Caution Item (Closing Price Volatility Item)' for one day on June 15, 2026.

According to the disclosure, KEPCO E&C's closing price surged 22.61% to 151,300 won, compared to the previous price of 123,400 won. The trading volume for the day was 321,906 shares, of which closing price trading volume accounted for 41.08%. Notably, institutional investors' account participation rate reached 97.52% during the closing price formation process, indicating concentrated institutional involvement.

This designation was made because the stock met all three criteria for an Investment Caution Item. The criteria are: ▲ the closing price rising or falling 5% or more compared to the previous price; ▲ closing price trading volume accounting for 5% or more of the day's total trading volume; and ▲ total daily trading volume of 30,000 shares or more.

There were zero designations as an Investment Caution Item for the same reason within the recent 5 and 15 trading days.

The Korea Exchange's market warning system designates stocks requiring investor attention as Investment Caution Items, Investment Warning Items, and Investment Risk Items, in that order. At the Investment Warning and Investment Risk stages, trading may be suspended.
