Doosan Group is joining hands with Nvidia to comprehensively expand cooperation in advanced fields such as physical AI, AI factories, and robotics. The strategy is to preempt the future industrial market by combining its manufacturing-based business capabilities with Nvidia's artificial intelligence (AI) platform.

Doosan announced on the 8th that it has decided to expand cooperation with Nvidia in its major business areas, including energy, robotics, and advanced materials. The two companies plan to discover new growth models by integrating Doosan's manufacturing technology and field experience with Nvidia's AI computing technology and physical AI platform.

Park Jeong-won, Chairman of Doosan Group, stated, "Based on our manufacturing competitiveness, Doosan has continuously acquired future industrial technologies in the areas of energy, robotics, and advanced materials," adding, "As AI establishes itself as a core element across all industries, we expect to create new business opportunities through our partnership with Nvidia."

Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, also explained, "South Korea is one of the central countries of global manufacturing," and "Physical AI is a technology that can bring new innovation to industrial sites and infrastructure." He added, "The combination of Doosan's industrial capabilities and Nvidia's AI platform will open up new growth possibilities in the fields of intelligent robots, autonomous equipment, and future infrastructure development."

[AI Factory Energy Infrastructure] The two companies will also collaborate in the energy infrastructure sector for building AI factories. They plan to link Doosan Enerbility's gas turbines and small modular reactors (SMRs), as well as Doosan Fuel Cell's hydrogen fuel cell technology, with Nvidia's AI data center construction platform. Moving forward, they will expand their cooperation into various areas, including power supply design, energy efficiency, and the establishment of low-carbon power sources.

[Intelligent Robots and Autonomous Equipment] Cooperation in the robotics sector is also kicking into high gear. Doosan Robotics is currently utilizing Nvidia's simulation and AI development platforms to drive the development of next-generation robot operating systems applicable to industrial sites. In particular, they are jointly reviewing the development of intelligent robotic solutions capable of performing precision tasks required in logistics and manufacturing fields. The two companies have set a goal to increase productivity and work efficiency by focusing on the realization of 'agent-type robot' technology, which allows robots to independently perceive and judge their surrounding environment to perform tasks.

Doosan Bobcat, which operates construction, agricultural, and logistics equipment, is also pushing to apply Nvidia's physical AI technology. The company plans to accelerate the development of autonomous technologies that enable equipment to analyze its environment and perform tasks independently by utilizing world models specialized for industrial sites.

[Core Materials for AI Servers] Collaboration will also continue in the electronic materials business. Doosan Corporation's Electronics BG, which is bolstering its copper clad laminate (CCL) business—a core material used in AI servers and data centers—is exploring technical cooperation measures that can be linked with Nvidia's next-generation AI data center platform.
