Anchorage Digital, a federally regulated and approved cryptocurrency bank in the United States, has launched a new solution to assist institutional investors with secure trading. The newly introduced 'Collaborative Multilateral Settlement (CMS)' platform enables trading without the need to pre-deposit assets on exchanges.
The core feature of this system is that it moves away from the market's chronic practice of pre-depositing funds on exchanges. In the past, a single offshore exchange handled trading, custody, and settlement, which carried significant risks of asset commingling or bankruptcy. However, in the new CMS model, Anchorage exclusively takes charge of custody and settlement, greatly enhancing asset stability.
Meanwhile, Spotex, a large foreign exchange trading platform, has been selected as the first partner for the adoption of this CMS platform.
