Ethereum researchers have published a report outlining a 'post-quantum' transition plan to counter the security threats posed by quantum computers.

According to the report, once quantum computers fully emerge, the 'BLS12-381' signature scheme currently used by Ethereum is at risk of becoming completely compromised. To defend against this, the research team plans to phase in the implementation of the 'Strawmap' roadmap.
