[Reporter Park Jong-gyu] K-water ranked first in the June 2026 brand reputation survey of public institutions under the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment. The Korea Environment Corporation took second place, and the Korea National Park Service ranked third.

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed a total of 27,349,403 pieces of big data targeting 11 public institution brands under the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment from May 2 to June 2. This is a 10.20% increase compared to 24,818,953 pieces from the previous month. This evaluation calculated the brand reputation index by summing up the participation index, media index, communication index, community index, and social contribution index.

The June brand reputation rankings were tallied in the following order: 1st K-water, 2nd Korea Environment Corporation, 3rd Korea National Park Service, 4th National Institute of Ecology, 5th Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, 6th Environment Preservation Association, 7th Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association, 8th Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation, 9th National Nakdong River Biological Resources Center, 10th National Honam Regional Biological Resources Center, and 11th Korea Water Resources Investigation and Technology Agency.

Recording first place, K-water posted a brand reputation index of 6,557,137, with a participation index of 1,385,879, a media index of 2,014,344, a communication index of 2,543,382, a community index of 332,794, and a social contribution index of 287,388. This represents a 10.65% decrease compared to the previous month.

Second-place Korea Environment Corporation recorded a brand reputation index of 5,673,277 with a participation index of 1,013,496, a media index of 1,840,233, a communication index of 1,017,755, a community index of 761,593, and a social contribution index of 1,041,999, rising 43.56% from the previous month.

Third-place Korea National Park Service recorded a brand reputation index of 4,799,867 with a participation index of 904,182, a media index of 1,182,612, a communication index of 1,272,440, a community index of 1,288,633, and a social contribution index of 151,999. This is a 15.55% increase compared to the previous month.

Subsequently, the National Institute of Ecology saw its brand reputation index rise by 28.71% to 3,431,208, while the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute dropped by 6.08% to 2,424,471.

Koo Chang-hwan, Director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "K-water ranked first in the June brand reputation analysis of public institutions under the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment." He added, "The overall size of big data increased by 10.20% compared to the previous month. In detail, brand consumption rose by 14.65%, brand issues by 23.65%, brand communication by 7.29%, and brand contribution by 25.98%, while brand diffusion decreased by 15.33%."
