[Reporter Park Jong-gyu] Mirae Asset Life ranked first in the variable insurance brand reputation in June 2026. Hanwha Life took second place, and Samsung Life took third.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute calculated the brand reputation index by analyzing a total of 18,316,125 pieces of big data for 17 variable insurance brands from May 2 to June 2. The analyzed data decreased by 1.48% compared to the previous month (18,590,853). The evaluation was conducted by summing the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index.

Mirae Asset Life's variable insurance, which took first place overall, recorded a brand reputation index of 3,343,318. The detailed indices were a participation index of 1,162,460, a media index of 1,227,969, a communication index of 613,038, and a community index of 336,852. The brand reputation index decreased by 4.24% compared to the previous month.
Second-place Hanwha Life's variable insurance was tallied with a brand reputation index of 2,523,379. It recorded a participation index of 881,209, a media index of 912,453, a communication index of 433,738, and a community index of 292,979, marking an 8.82% increase from the previous month.
Third-place Samsung Life's variable insurance showed a brand reputation index of 2,288,906, with a participation index of 953,221, a media index of 533,114, a communication index of 467,615, and a community index of 334,956. This is a 15.72% decrease compared to the previous month.
Following them, fourth-place Kyobo Life's variable insurance fell by 5.25% to a brand reputation index of 2,126,801, while fifth-place MetLife's variable insurance rose by 0.31% to 1,060,559.
Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "In the June variable insurance brand reputation analysis, Mirae Asset Life's variable insurance ranked first," and added, "The overall size of big data decreased by 1.48% compared to the previous month. In detail, brand consumption fell by 2.85%, brand issues fell by 13.07%, brand communication increased by 60.23%, and brand diffusion increased by 0.31%."
