Uniswap (UNI) founder Hayden Adams clearly stated on his X account, "Uniswap did not receive incubation (early support) from the Ethereum Foundation."

This remark is a direct response to Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Aya Miyaguchi recently citing Uniswap as a case of the Ethereum Foundation's incubation.

Adams explained, "It is true that we received grants and various support from the Ethereum Foundation, but we were never incubated." However, he added, "Personally, having ties with the Foundation might make it feel like we received incubation," also mentioning the context in which the misunderstanding could have arisen.

Adams' remarks are interpreted as emphasizing that Uniswap and the Ethereum Foundation are strictly separate organizations. Meanwhile, the Ethereum Foundation, which recently faced controversies over personnel departures, has previously announced a restructuring policy to focus solely on its core values.
