The group IVE has proven their formidable influence by sweeping the top spots of major local music charts with their new Japanese album.
According to the latest Japanese Oricon chart, IVE's fourth Japanese album, 'LUCID DREAM,' achieved a double crown by simultaneously taking first place on both the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking and the Weekly Album Ranking. This is IVE's third time topping the Combined Album Ranking overall, and it marks the first time in about 10 months for a foreign female artist since their third album, 'Be Alright,' last August. In particular, this album recorded 120,631 weekly points, achieving the highest performance for a foreign female artist this year.
The strong performance continued on Billboard Japan. 'LUCID DREAM' reached number one on the Billboard Japan Weekly Album Sales chart, recording 139,278 copies sold.
This new album contains a total of six tracks, including three Japanese original songs featuring the title track 'LUCID DREAM,' as well as Japanese versions of songs from their third Korean mini-album, 'IVE EMPATHY.' The title track expresses the process of becoming honest with one's emotions through the medium of dreams, utilizing IVE's signature hopeful melody.
Since their Japanese debut in October 2022, IVE has shown unrivaled ticket power by becoming the first Korean singer to hold a solo concert at K Arena Yokohama and mobilizing 95,000 spectators at the Tokyo Dome. Following surpassing 200 million cumulative streams on Billboard Japan with 'After LIKE,' they have recently been expanding their public recognition by appearing at 'Rock In Japan Festival 2025' and on major local variety and music programs.
Currently conducting their second world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I AM,' IVE successfully completed their Kyocera Dome Osaka concert this past April. They are scheduled to enter the Tokyo Dome once again on June 24 to continue the local excitement.
