Expectations of an easing in geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran lifted investor sentiment across the broader stock market, driving domestic nuclear power-related stocks sharply higher across the board on the 12th.

The biggest beneficiary of the nuclear power theme that day was Woori Technology. Woori Technology closed at 17,570 won, up 29.9% from the previous trading day, hitting the daily upper limit. KEPCO E&C also soared to 133,600 won (+14.7%), while KEPCO KPS rose to 53,800 won (+9.1%) and Daechang Solution closed at 2,030 won (+9.0%), showing strong momentum.

The nuclear power rally extended to large-cap stocks as well. Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) finished trading at 38,700 won (+7.7%), and Doosan Enerbility closed at 94,700 won (+6.8%).

In addition, Wujin Entech closed at 21,750 won (+3.5%), Wujin at 18,070 won (+2.9%), Soosan Industries at 24,600 won (+2.7%), Mobis at 3,260 won (+1.8%), Orbitech at 7,110 won (+1.4%), and Geumhwa PSC at 32,800 won (+0.4%), all finishing in positive territory.

The market interpreted the day's strength as a result of recovering investor sentiment following the alleviation of geopolitical risks. Whether nuclear power stocks can sustain this upward trend in next week's trading sessions is highlighted as a key point to watch.
