HD Hyundai Marine Engine has signed a ship engine supply contract worth approximately 28 billion won with a Chinese shipyard.

According to HD Hyundai Marine Engine on the 18th, the counterparty to this contract is China's 'Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd.,' and the supply destination is also China. The exact contract amount is 27,999,750,000 won, which is equivalent to 7.0% of the company's consolidated revenue (402,396,221,904 won) based on its year-end 2025 consolidated financial statements.

Engine delivery is scheduled to take place from June 17, 2026, to September 30, 2028. Payments will be made in installments—advance payment, interim payment, and final balance—according to the engine supply schedule, and the contract includes a down payment and advance payments. The company explained that the contract amount was calculated using the initial announced exchange rate as of the contract date, at 1,513.5 won per U.S. dollar.

However, this contract is a conditional agreement that takes effect only after receiving advance payments for each engine from the counterparty. If the conditions are not met, the contract amount and duration may be subject to change, and a separate disclosure will be made in the event of any changes. Additionally, the company noted that the contract period may vary depending on the shipbuilding schedule of the counterparty shipyard.
