According to on-chain data tracking platform Onchain Lens, an anonymous cryptocurrency whale (large investor) wallet address starting with '0x2E8e9' has deposited 9,000 ETH (approximately $17.86 million), held for five years, to the virtual currency exchange Bitfinex.

Investigations revealed that the address previously purchased 10,000 ETH for $4.63 million from the decentralized exchange Uniswap five years ago and withdrew it. Additionally, a portion of the held assets had already been deposited to another exchange, Kraken, about three weeks ago.

Onchain Lens expected that if this wallet address actually sells the deposited Ethereum amount on Bitfinex, it would realize a profit of approximately $14.37 million.
