Compiling reports from Fars News citing sources, while some Western media and officials have depicted the communication process between the two sides as normal, communication has not actually been taking place. The exchange of messages between the two countries, which had been underway ahead of the initial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), has also been suspended for at least several days.

This contradicts President Trump's remarks. President Trump claimed on the night of the 1st (local time) that negotiations with Iran are progressing quickly.

However, the source emphasized that the last message Iran delivered to the US was 'regarding Lebanon,' and that this message drew broad interest from the international community. This points to the fact that substantive communication between the two countries has already come to a halt.
