Actress Lim Soo-hyang successfully completed the 'Soo-hyang X Mini Moohaerun', an event she personally planned to commemorate Environment Day on June 5.
Held at Yeouido Park along the Han River on May 30, the event was a mini marathon and plogging drive with the aim of creating a trash-free, harmless world. Around 30 participants who gathered through advance registration joined the event, collecting trash around Yeouido Park and sharing the significance of environmental protection.
Having consistently shown a profound interest in environmental protection and running, Lim Soo-hyang personally planned this event following her participation in the '2026 Moohaerun' last April. In particular, deeply resonating with the mission of the non-profit organization 'People Wiping the Earth (Wipers)', she supported the event's operating expenses by donating the proceeds from her personal flea market.
In her welcoming speech that day, Lim Soo-hyang expressed her gratitude to the participants, stating, "I want to widely promote the purpose of Moohaerun, which practices a lifestyle that does not produce trash." She also personally participated in decorating bib numbers using recycled paper and making commemorative medals, and warmly interacted with the participants by preparing a coffee truck free of single-use items.
'People Wiping the Earth', the co-organizer of the event, presented Lim Soo-hyang with a wooden plaque to express their gratitude for her hard work. Participants also left positive impressions, commenting that it was "a meaningful occasion that made them realize the reality of environmental issues."
Meanwhile, Lim Soo-hyang, who was introduced to running through the entertainment program 'Run to Survive Season 2', is currently active in a running crew. Continuing her endeavors as an actress in her main profession, she is set to take the stage in the play 'The Lives of Others', opening on July 1, playing the role of Christa-Maria Sieland.
