On the morning of the 8th, during the early hours of trading, domestic nuclear power-related stocks are collectively showing weakness due to the fallout from the sharp decline in the KOSPI market.

As of 9:36 a.m. on this day, most major nuclear power stocks are recording a downward trend compared to the previous trading day. The trends for major stocks are as follows:

• Doosan Enerbility: 89,500 won (-6.38%)
• KEPCO E&C: 117,800 won (-7.46%)
• Woojin: 17,220 won (-5.69%)
• KEPCO KPS (Nuclear power maintenance and repair): 46,150 won (-5.13%)
• Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO): 37,150 won (-2.49%)

Along with this, nuclear power instrumentation and equipment-related stocks such as Woorigisul (-5.84%), Woojin Entech (-5.54%), Orbitech (-6.54%), Sanup Industry (-4.87%), Daechang Solution (-4.69%), and Mobis (-4.54%) also showed a concurrent downward trend.

The across-the-board decline in nuclear power stocks is heavily influenced by the overall market plunge. The Korea Exchange announced that it activated the first-stage circuit breaker for the KOSPI market at 9:03:42 a.m. on this day. As the KOSPI index plunged more than 8%, nuclear power stocks were also unable to escape the downward pressure.
