Hitomi of the girl group SAY MY NAME has successfully made her debut, showcasing her delightful charm by transforming into a variety show MC.
In the new KBS Joy variety program 'Shut Up and Korea-Japan Match', which premiered on the 7th, Hitomi actively served as the program's mascot, simultaneously taking on the roles of MC, referee, and interpreter. The broadcast proceeded in a format where participants from Korea and Japan visited storytellers and competed against each other through games.
Being Japanese while active in Korea, Hitomi cleverly navigated the situation when MC Lee Soo-geun asked which country she would support before the match, replying, "I am a referee and host who maintains neutrality to ensure a fair competition."
Once the actual match began, Hitomi demonstrated stable hosting skills while also evoking empathy from viewers with her abundant reactions. She showed curiosity about Korea's unique culture and perspectives, empathized with the Japanese storytellers, and delivered laughter through her unpredictable charm, such as cold-heartedly choosing the Korean team to avoid a penalty.
Vividly conveying the passionate and tense atmosphere on set between the cast members of both countries, Hitomi heightened expectations for her future activities in the program.
Meanwhile, 'Shut Up and Korea-Japan Match' featuring SAY MY NAME's Hitomi airs every Sunday at 8 PM on KBS Joy.
