The group NMIXX has been appointed as the official promotional ambassador for the 'Girls Can Dream, Girls Can Achieve: Nothing is impossible for dreaming girls' campaign driven by the British Embassy in Seoul.
On the 11th, the British Embassy in Seoul held an appointment ceremony at the British Ambassador's Residence in Seoul, officially naming the NMIXX members (Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin) as promotional ambassadors. Catherine West, the UK Minister for the Indo-Pacific at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), attended the event that day to personally deliver the appointment certificates.
The embassy stated that NMIXX was selected as the promotional ambassador because their activities, which have conveyed messages of confidence, challenge, and growth on the global stage, align with the purpose of this campaign. At the appointment ceremony, Minister Catherine West and the NMIXX members engaged in an in-depth conversation covering topics such as the importance of empowering girls, dreams and careers, role models, and the value of collaboration.
NMIXX's Haewon shared her thoughts, saying, "It is meaningful to be a part of this campaign as a promotional ambassador," and added, "I want to deliver a positive message so that many girls can believe in their potential and move forward toward their dreams." She continued, "It would hold great significance if our music and activities could provide courage and inspiration to someone."
British Ambassador to South Korea Colin Crooks stated, "NMIXX are role models who inspire girls all over the world," adding, "I think it is very meaningful to have them join us for this campaign." Following the event, the NMIXX members, Minister Catherine West, and Ambassador Colin Crooks took commemorative photos, marking the start of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the 'Girls Can Dream, Girls Can Achieve: Nothing is impossible for dreaming girls' campaign aims to provide inspiration so that girls can proactively design and challenge their own dreams and futures. Furthermore, it also holds significance in expanding cooperation between South Korea and the United Kingdom through soft power utilizing culture and content.
