ZEROBASEONE's Kim Taerae proved himself as an all-rounder, showcasing his vocals, instrumental performance, and stage presence at 'KCON JAPAN 2026.'
Recently, Kim Taerae released a behind-the-scenes video documenting the preparation process for the KCON JAPAN 2026 stage through ZEROBASEONE's official YouTube channel. The video fully captured the preparation process for group performances, including a collaboration stage of CNBLUE's 'I'm Sorry' and a cover of SHINee's 'Sherlock.'
Even amidst an intense schedule, Kim Taerae honed his skills by repeatedly practicing bass playing in a corner of the practice room. He meticulously reviewed his remarks to elicit audience response, further enhancing the overall quality of the performance.
His ability to adapt his expressions to each song also drew attention. During group performance practice with the members, he brought out the tension and dynamism of the song, and on the 'I'm Sorry' stage, he maximized the vitality of the band's sound with live vocals, bass playing, and free gestures.
In particular, Kim Taerae expressed his respect for Kim Jaehwan, who joined him on the collaboration stage with the original artists, CNBLUE. He created a heartwarming atmosphere by saying, 'Since senior Jaehwan is so good at what he does, I think I was able to relax a bit more and go wild on stage.'
These efforts translated into enthusiastic reactions following the performance. Immediately after his KCON JAPAN 2026 stage, Kim Taerae recorded a peak index of 100 in Google Trends search interest, while performance-related keywords were tallied as 'Breakout,' a term that appears when search volume surges explosively.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE, the group Kim Taerae belongs to, will continue their activities both domestically and internationally.
