Seoul Metro announced on the 16th at 10:53 a.m. through a safety advisory text message that a carbon dioxide gas leak had occurred on the first underground floor of Anam Station on Seoul Subway Line 6.

Due to this accident, passengers using Anam Station are being evacuated outside the station, and authorities are urging citizens to avoid the vicinity of Anam Station and take alternate routes.

Accordingly, trains on Seoul Subway Line 6 are currently passing through Anam Station without stopping in both directions. Seoul Metro emphasized that citizens intending to use the trains or the station should listen carefully to internal announcements and move safely following the guidance of on-site staff.
