On the 16th, Geryong Construction Industry announced through a regulatory filing that it had been selected as the qualified bidder for the detailed design of the construction of Section 6 of the Gangdong-Hanam-Namyangju Line metropolitan railway. The selection date is June 16, 2026, with the Public Procurement Service as the contracting agency and the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Northern Office as the end-user.

The estimated project cost is approximately KRW 80.9 billion (with zero-rate tax applied), which accounts for about 2.80% of the company's most recent revenue (KRW 2.8874 trillion) based on the 2025 consolidated financial statements.

The total construction cost is approximately KRW 768.5 billion, of which Geryong Construction Industry's share is about 10.53%. The company explained that the project cost will be finalized upon the signing of the contract in the future. The date of this confirmation is the date on which the official letter notifying the selection as the qualified bidder for detailed design was received.

Geryong Construction Industry stated that the details may change during the course of the project and that finalized terms will be disclosed separately upon the signing of the main contract.
