■ Precious Metals Prices at a Glance

Pure gold (3.75g) was priced at 917,000 won for buying and 780,000 won for selling. The selling price remained unchanged from the previous trading day, while the buying price fell by 3,000 won. For 18K, the selling price stood at 575,000 won, and for 14K, at 446,000 won, both unchanged from the previous trading day.

Platinum was recorded at 368,000 won for buying and 306,000 won for selling. Both the buying and selling prices declined by 3,000 won each, showing a weak trend. Silver was priced at 13,850 won for buying and 12,650 won for selling. While the selling price rose by 150 won, the buying price fell by 200 won, showing mixed price movements.

■ Key Variables for Gold Prices

The direction of the U.S. Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate policy, global economic trends, and fluctuations in the value of the dollar continue to be cited as key variables for gold prices. In particular, with a ceasefire atmosphere recently emerging between the United States and Iran, attention is also focused on the direction of safe-haven asset demand.
