Jake Claver, Chairman of Digital Ascension Group, has raised the possibility of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, filing for a spot XRP Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF). According to overseas crypto media outlet Coingape, Claver predicted in a recent interview that adoption of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) will increase significantly within the next few months.

"We Could See a BlackRock XRP ETF"… Price Upside Projected

Claver stated, "I think we could see a BlackRock XRP ETF." He went on to explain, "If the price rises enough to make real-world utility possible, some real-time payment-related services being developed by SWIFT and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) will go live on June 28 (local time)." He added that for XRP to be utilized on a massive scale in payment functions connected to institutional infrastructure, "a much higher price level than now may be necessary," and projected that the XRP price will "rise to significantly higher levels." However, Coingape made it clear that this represents Claver's personal view.

Coingape also reported that market analyst Ali Martinez similarly predicted that XRP could show a trend of breaking above $1.30.

BlackRock Continues to Expand Crypto ETF Product Lineup

BlackRock continues to expand its cryptocurrency ETF product lineup. BlackRock's Bitcoin Premium Income ETF is scheduled to list on the U.S. Nasdaq market on Tuesday, June 16 (local time).

Claver's remarks come amid a growing trend of institutional interest in the XRPL and related products. Earlier this year, XRPL Commerce Director Odelia Torteman stated that major financial institutions are increasing their interest in the XRPL ecosystem. Torteman mentioned that Mastercard, BlackRock, and Franklin Templeton have all shown interest in the XRPL.

Torteman emphasized that the XRPL has the capability to support settlements across different assets and also offers features tailored for regulated institutions. She added that institutions have also begun showing interest in tools within the XRPL, such as the native Decentralized Exchange (DEX) and Automated Market Maker (AMM). Coingape reported that these developments may have formed the backdrop for Claver's recent comments.

Major Ripple and XRPL Collaborations Continue Through 2025

According to Coingape, major collaborations surrounding Ripple and the XRPL have also continued since 2025. In September 2025 (local time), Ripple partnered with Franklin Templeton and DBS to pursue a tokenized lending project utilizing the RLUSD stablecoin. Around the same time, Securitize enabled the conversion of BUIDL fund share exchanges into RLUSD. In November 2025 (local time), Mastercard partnered with Ripple and Gemini to conduct an XRPL-based RLUSD payment pilot project.
