Group (G)I-DLE has unveiled the performance video for 'Crow,' a pre-release track from their 9th mini album, delivering an overwhelmingly immersive experience.
At midnight on the 18th, (G)I-DLE premiered the performance video for 'Crow,' the pre-release track from their 9th mini album 'We made,' through their official social media channels. The released video begins in a vast, pristine white space reminiscent of a cathedral, creating a sensual visual narrative as crows appear to take over the space.
In particular, the members captivate viewers by completing a mystical and intense performance, featuring a bold duet choreography using handcuffs, a performance utilizing a giant custom microphone, and a twist rapping segment that finishes the song.
'Crow,' which carries an empowering message about overcoming unfortunate circumstances and moving forward, was first revealed during the Seoul concert of their world tour, receiving an enthusiastic response. Currently, a dance challenge featuring the so-called 'crow dance,' which visualizes the flapping of a crow's wings, is generating significant buzz with participation from WJSN's Dayoung, Yena, Jang Hyun-seung, choreographer Bada, and others.
Released on the 15th, the track is also making waves on global charts. It swept Chinese charts, including number one on Peru's iTunes Top Songs chart, number one on China's QQ Music Digital Album Bestseller Singles daily chart, and number one on KuGou Music's Korea chart. Additionally, it charted evenly well across various countries and regions worldwide, including Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and France, proving the group's global popularity.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE's 9th mini album 'We made,' which is already promising to be a hit thanks to its pre-release track, will be officially released on July 6th. Prior to that, the members will hold their world tour in Yokohama, Japan, on the 19th and 20th to meet with local fans.
