Kwang Electronics (017900) successfully staged a dramatic turnaround as buying interest flowed in following the activation of the Volatility Control Mechanism (VI).

According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on the 18th, the VI for Kwang Electronics was activated at 10:49:06 a.m. and lifted at 10:51:10 a.m., approximately two minutes later.

The stock had been pushed down to an intraday low of 9,570 won due to weakness early in the session. However, it successfully rebounded afterward, significantly improving investor sentiment.

As of 10:55 a.m., the stock is trading at 10,830 won, up 590 won (5.76%) from the previous trading day. In particular, it is continuing its strong upward trend, rising back above the psychological resistance level of 10,000 won.

The market is closely watching whether the stock can stably maintain its gains even after the VI was lifted.
