As of June 19, 2026, based on goldprice.com, domestic prices for major precious metals showed an overall downward trend.

Pure gold (3.75g) traded at 896,000 won for purchase and 765,000 won for sale. Compared to the previous trading day, the purchase price fell by 24,000 won and the sale price by 16,000 won. 18K dropped by 12,000 won to a sale price of 564,000 won, while 14K also fell by 9,000 won to a sale price of 438,000 won.

Platinum was recorded at 353,000 won for purchase and 294,000 won for sale. Compared to the previous trading day, the purchase price and sale price fell by 16,000 won and 13,000 won, respectively. Silver also showed weakness, closing at 13,000 won for purchase (down 850 won) and 12,250 won for sale (down 400 won).

Amid this downward trend in precious metal prices, geopolitical variables that will influence the future direction of safe-haven assets still remain. Even after the declaration of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, attention is focused on global issues such as Middle East developments. In particular, the White House announced in a statement on the 18th (local time) that it had canceled Vice President JD Vance's scheduled visit to Switzerland. Israel's airstrikes on Lebanon are cited as the background for the postponement of the negotiations.

Accordingly, it is necessary to monitor major news announced over the weekend and the future volatility of the safe-haven asset market.
