Geumyang has extended the deadline for the third-phase capital contribution to 'CHARLIZE RESSOURCES SAS,' in which it is investing to develop a lithium mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, by three months.

According to Geumyang's revised disclosure on the 24th, the scheduled acquisition date has been postponed from June 30, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Accordingly, the contribution deadline for the remaining third-phase investment of USD 6,050,000 has also been extended by three months.

Geumyang plans to acquire 1,500 shares in the mining company for a total of KRW 26.7235 billion. This represents 22.8% of Geumyang's equity, and upon completion of the acquisition, the company will secure a 60% stake. The investment is intended for the exploration and development of the Congo lithium mine, and Geumyang is proceeding in a total of three phases depending on whether phase-specific investment conditions are met. If all three phases are completed, the total investment will amount to USD 19,000,000, and the company will acquire up to a 60% stake.

According to the company, it previously contributed the first tranche of third-phase capital amounting to USD 1.5 million on July 4, 2024. Subsequently, taking into account its financial situation, it agreed with the counterparty to make the remaining capital contributions in installments, and first contributed USD 2 million by January 10, 2025. The deadline for the remaining USD 6.05 million was then adjusted from June 30, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

Meanwhile, Geumyang stated that the details related to this acquisition of shares in another entity and the mine development project may change depending on future progress.
