SEVENTEEN's The8 and Vernon have formed their first unit 'V8' and are launching full-scale activities.

According to Pledis Entertainment, V8 will release their first mini album 'V8,' containing the two members' musical capabilities and experimental endeavors. The8 and Vernon, who have shown a deep interest in the electronic genre, actively participated in the overall production of the album, including writing lyrics, composing, mixing, and visual art. They collaborated with artists from domestic and international subculture scenes to complete a contemporary electronic music sound, and spoilers posted on social media by the participating producers have been building anticipation among global fans.

■ Depicting Wandering and Growth with the Keyword 'Consumed Youth' This new release explores moments of wandering, confusion, recovery, and growth, centered around the keyword 'consumed youth.' It encapsulates the aspiration to sublimate the precarious nature of youth into explosive freedom and use it as fuel to move forward.

The unit logo visualizes the Chinese character '八,' symbolizing The8, and Vernon's initial 'V' in the shape of the character for person '人,' expressing the human and emotional narrative they carry.

■ Pre-release 'singasong' Surpasses 75 Million Views on Instagram The response has been hot even before the official release. The pre-released 'singasong' challenge has surpassed 75 million views on Instagram. This track was completed with the participation of Mekatok, a German-born DJ and producer gaining attention in the European electronic music scene, blending an addictive melody with shuffle dance. The new album includes a total of eight tracks, including the two members' solo songs '8DM' and 'MIA.'

■ Pre-Listening Party on the 28th → Solo Concert and Broadcast Activities in July V8 will hold a pre-listening party on the 28th, a day before the album release, at Grain House in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It will be a listening session in a DJ party format, which is rare in K-pop, with plans to deliver a vivid listening experience and DJing culture to the audience.

Following the album release, they will proceed with their solo concert '2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE.' It will be held on July 11 and 12 at Hall 1 of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, and from July 17 to 19 at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong.

Additionally, V8 is scheduled to appear on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on July 2, kicking off their broadcast activities.
