Singer-songwriter Kim Seung-ju has released his first full-length album and is embarking on his musical career in earnest.
On the 29th at 6 p.m., Kim Seung-ju will release his first full-length album, 'Incomplete Virus,' through various online music platforms.
Produced with the support of 'Tune Up,' an indie musician support program by the CJ Cultural Foundation, this album is an autobiographical work that captures the process of honestly confronting and accepting the sense of incompleteness, inadequacy, and emotional wounds that he once considered his own shortcomings.
The album, featuring a total of 11 tracks, is structured into three chapters: Virus, Vaccine, and Remission. Centered around the title tracks of each chapter—'History of Misfortune,' 'Diary,' and 'To Gushigaji'—it weaves together a single narrative of confronting childhood memories and feelings of deficiency.
In particular, Kim Seung-ju took charge of writing, composing, and arranging all the songs on this album, fully showcasing his capabilities as a singer-songwriter. He shared that the album took about two years from conception to production, and that being his first full-length album, both his anticipation and satisfaction are high.
Meanwhile, ahead of the album's release, Kim Seung-ju held commemorative showcases on the 27th and 28th at KT&G SangsangMadang Chuncheon, where he pre-released new songs to fans, further building anticipation.
Kim Seung-ju's first full-length album, 'Incomplete Virus,' will be available on various online music platforms today (29th) at 6 p.m.
