Gaon Lines (000500) surged on strong buying pressure early in the session, triggering the Volatility Interruption (VI) mechanism twice.
According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on the 7th, Gaon Lines was trading at 273,500 won as of 9:15 a.m., up 40,000 won (17.13%) from the previous trading day.
Static VIs were triggered in succession early in the session. The first was activated at 9:00:09 a.m. and lifted at 9:02:38 a.m., while the second was activated at 9:09:39 a.m. and released at 9:11:55 a.m. Even after the VI was lifted, the stock maintained its gains, continuing its upward trend.
Gaon Lines has been drawing investors' attention by recording gains for four consecutive trading days from June 26 through today. As short-term gains have widened, intraday volatility has also expanded. Market participants are focusing on how much longer the current stock price trend can be sustained.
[※ Investors should note that VI activation can lead to expanded short-term volatility, necessitating prudent investment decisions that take into account both corporate disclosures and market conditions.]
