The global K-pop chart 'KM Chart' has revealed the candidate list for the '2026 KM Chart Season Best Summer' and officially launched voting.

This round of voting runs until the 14th and will award a total of seven categories, targeting artists and songs that enjoyed massive popularity during the second quarter (April–June) of 2026. The award categories are divided into Song, Artist, Popular Male and Female, Rookie Male and Female, and Popular Performance.

  • The list of major nominees in each category, where fierce competition is expected, is as follows:
  • Song Category: A total of 20 tracks nominated, including BTS, BLACKPINK, IVE, aespa, Lim Young-woong, and Lee Chan-won
  • Artist Category: 17 teams competing, including LE SSERAFIM, BOYNEXTDOOR, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER
  • Rookie Category: A total of 15 male and female teams entering, including AHOF, KORTIS, and ALLDAY PROJECT

Fans can participate in the preference survey through the applications 'My1Pick' and 'Idol Champ.' The final results will be announced by combining voting scores, KM Chart data scores, and evaluations from a professional judging panel.

Meanwhile, in the June monthly chart released alongside this announcement, I.O.I and BOYNEXTDOOR took first place in the Song and Artist categories, respectively.

Separately, 'KMA 2026,' a music festival and awards ceremony that wraps up a year in the music industry, will be held on July 25 at the Hwajung Gymnasium of Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. Actors Kang Tae-oh and Won Ji-an are set to host the ceremony.
