[Breaking] Bitcoin Rebounds to $60,000 Range... Coin Market on High Alert Ahead of U.S. June Employment Data Release
CBC News

On July 2, Korean time, major virtual assets showed strength across the board. According to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin (BTC) rose 4.06% over 24 hours to trade at $61,823.90. Ripple (XRP) gained 5.04% to reach $1.10, while Dogecoin (DOGE) climbed 3.64% to $0.07485.

Top market cap assets also trended mostly higher. Ethereum (ETH) surged 7.13% over 24 hours to $1,708.11, and Solana (SOL) also rose 7.39% to trade at $81.46. In addition, Binance Coin (BNB) recorded $563.63, up 2.84%; Hyperliquid reached $66.06, up 3.14%; and Tron (TRX) posted $0.3181, up 0.48%.

Market attention is also focused on the U.S. labor market data released on the same day. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the unemployment rate for June came in at 4.2%. Nonfarm payroll employment increased by only 57,000, confirming signs of a labor market slowdown that the market has been closely watching.

This data is evaluated as a key variable that could influence the future direction of U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) monetary policy and global financial markets as a whole. As the virtual asset market is highly sensitive to macroeconomic indicators, interest rate outlooks, and shifts in investor sentiment, it is necessary to monitor upcoming economic data releases alongside market trends.
