Voting for the drama category in the acting division of the June Netizen Awards, which determines the most talked-about work of the first half of the year, has closed. As a result, the MBC series "21st Century Grand Princess," starring Byun Woo-seok, defended its top spot and earned the honor of being the most buzzworthy work of the first half of the year.

According to the tally, "21st Century Grand Princess" secured a total of 17,817 votes in this first-half finale, holding onto first place with a vote share of 36.7%. Adding another win following May, the series set a record of topping the charts for four consecutive months.

Fierce competition unfolded for the runner-up position in the top tier. SBS's "I'm Human Starting Today" firmly held second place with 16,944 votes and a 34.9% share, while MBC's "Motel California" took third with 3,486 votes and 7.2%, solidifying the top-tier lineup.

In the middle tier, a tight ranking battle and the strong advance of new releases were also notable.

  • 4th place: Netflix's "Wonders" — 3,044 votes, 6.3%
  • 5th place: Disney+'s "Torrent" — 2,606 votes, 5.4%
  • 6th place: SBS's "Kissing for No Reason!" — 2,100 votes, 4.3%
  • 7th place: Netflix's "Can This Love Be Translated?" — 1,124 votes, 2.3%

The lower-tier race also concluded with meaningful results amid fans' enthusiastic support. tvN's "Typhoon Trading Company" defended 8th place with 943 votes and 1.9%, while SBS's "Space Merimi" continued its pursuit in 9th with 522 votes and 1.1%. Finally, SBS's "Brave New World" rounded out the rankings in 10th place with 27 votes and 0.1%.

Attention is now focused on what changes the Netizen Awards Drama Awards, which concluded its first-half marathon, will see in the second-half race.
