JS Link has decided to conduct a third-party allocated paid-in capital increase worth 53.4 billion won to secure a permanent magnet production base in Malaysia.

According to a regulatory filing by the company on the 7th, the new shares to be issued through this capital increase amount to 1,668,531 common shares. The issue price per new share is 32,000 won, through which the company plans to raise a total of approximately 53.39 billion won.

The third-party allottee for this capital increase is LYNAS RARE EARTHS LIMITED. The company stated that the allottee was selected by the board of directors in consideration of achieving management objectives.

The funds raised will be used entirely for the acquisition of securities of another entity. The investment target is its wholly-owned subsidiary, 'JS LINK MAGNETICS MALAYSIA,' and the funds will be utilized for facility investment for permanent magnet production in Malaysia, establishing a stable resource supply chain, and strengthening global competitiveness.

Key dates include a payment deadline of July 15 and a scheduled listing date for the new shares on August 6. Additionally, the newly issued shares will be placed under protective custody with the Korea Securities Depository for one year.

Meanwhile, the size of this fundraising was calculated based on 50 million Australian dollars (AUD). The Korean won equivalent was computed by applying the Seoul Foreign Exchange Brokerage median rate as of July 6, the day before the board resolution date (1 AUD = 1,067.86 won). The company added that the final amount raised in Korean won and the number of new shares issued may fluctuate depending on exchange rate changes on the actual payment date, in which case a separate disclosure will be made.
