MBN has officially announced the production of Season 2 of the trot audition program 'Unknown Legend - Trot Men's Ranking War' and has begun recruiting contestants.

The production team stated that, buoyed by the acclaim of Season 1, they are preparing a Season 2 with an expanded universe and competitive structure. Season 1 recorded a peak viewership rating of 10.1% (based on Nielsen Korea paid TV households) during the finale, and crowned Sung Ri as the 'first legend.'

The newly released teaser video features all seven top finalists from Season 1: Sung Ri, Haru, Jang Han-byul, Hwang Yoon-sung, Jung Yeon-ho, Lee Chang-min, and E Runae. Sung Ri asked, "Do you know what we have in common?" Hwang Yoon-sung and Jang Han-byul responded, "Good looks?" and "Sexy?" respectively. Sung Ri then emphasized their roots as unknown singers, saying, "No. We were unknowns," and E Runae agreed, saying, "I was an unknown too." Haru expressed gratitude for the program, saying, "'Unknown Legend' changed our lives!" Lee Chang-min encouraged viewers to apply, saying, "This time, it's your turn!" and together the TOP7 shouted, "'Unknown Legend' Season 2! Take on the challenge right now."

The production team expressed anticipation for the birth of a new protagonist, stating, "We plan to showcase the most intense trot audition yet, discovering unknown singers who have yet to be recognized, where the single last survivor becomes a legend."
