Samsung Electronics will dispose of approximately 344.5 billion won worth of treasury shares for employee stock compensation.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 7th that it held a board of directors meeting and decided to dispose of 1,083,434 common shares. The scheduled disposal period is a single day on July 8, 2026, and the purpose is employee stock compensation.

  • The specific disposal terms are as follows:
  • Disposal share price: 318,000 won per share
  • Total scheduled disposal amount: 344,532,012,000 won

This amount was calculated based on the closing price on July 6, the day prior to the board resolution date. Therefore, the actual disposal amount may vary depending on the stock price at the time of disposal.

Eligible Recipients and Method This treasury share distribution is based on the 2026 performance bonus labor-management agreement. As of May 27, 2026, a total of 49,345 employees from the DX Division and CSS Business Team are eligible. The company plans to distribute the shares by directly depositing them from its treasury stock account into the individual accounts of eligible employees. However, the actual number of shares distributed and the number of eligible recipients may vary within the board-approved limit depending on the number of employees and stock price fluctuations at the time of distribution.

Minimal Stock Value Dilution Effect Prior to the disposal decision, Samsung Electronics held 82,086,705 common shares as treasury stock, accounting for approximately 1.4% of total issued shares. The volume scheduled for disposal this time represents only about 0.019% of total issued shares (5,846,278,608 shares). Based on this, the company expects the stock value dilution effect to be minimal.
