The coin market is showing a weak trend on the 8th. As geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran are reignited, intense attention is focused on the direction of risk assets.

Analyses suggest that uncertainty across the broader global financial market is expanding as the possibility of U.S. airstrikes on Iran and Iran's retaliation emerges.

As of 1:31 p.m. on the 8th (Korean time), according to CoinMarketCap, most of the top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization declined.

Bitcoin (BTC) fell 0.59% from 24 hours ago to $62,834.77. Ethereum (ETH) dropped 0.81% to $1,755.82, and Binance Coin (BNB) declined 1.61% to $569.02.

Altcoins saw larger declines. Ripple (XRP) fell 2.68% to $1.09, Solana (SOL) dropped 2.57% to $78.82, and Dogecoin (DOGE) declined 2.86% to $0.07257. Hyperliquid (HYPE) also fell 2.43% to $68.23.

However, some assets recorded gains. Tron (TRX) rose 0.17% to $0.3302, and UNUS SED LEO (LEO) increased 0.26% to $9.43. Zcash (ZEC) surged 7.66% to $481.47, recording the highest gain among the top-ranked assets.

The market is closely watching the re-emerging geopolitical risk between the U.S. and Iran as a key variable. Attention is focused on whether risk appetite will contract and whether buying pressure will flow in following the expansion of volatility.

The short-term direction of the cryptocurrency market is expected to be determined by future Middle East developments, global risk asset investment sentiment, the U.S. dollar trend, and institutional capital inflows.
