During trading on the 8th, the exchange's Volatility Interruption (VI) was triggered as shares of Hyundai Rotem (064350) plunged.

A static VI was triggered for Hyundai Rotem at 1:12:40 p.m. that day and was lifted at 1:15:06 p.m. As of 1:14 p.m., Hyundai Rotem was trading at 167,900 won, down 18,500 won (9.92%) from the previous trading day, widening its decline.

Along with Hyundai Rotem's sharp drop, selling pressure is spreading across the broader KOSPI market. At the same time, the KOSPI index stood at 7,384.52, down 271.79 points (3.54%) from the previous trading day.

As geopolitical tensions surrounding the Middle East and risk-off sentiment continue to persist, investor sentiment in the domestic stock market is also shrinking significantly. Accordingly, volatility in major stocks, including defense stocks, is further expanding.

The market is closely watching the trajectory of changes in investor sentiment in response to future external variables and the possibility of further expansion in stock market volatility.
