As the "July 2026 National Joint Academic Evaluation for High School Seniors," organized by the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, was administered on the 8th, students' attention is focused on the grade cutoffs for major subjects including Korean and Mathematics.

This July academic evaluation is a national-level exam that allows students to objectively assess their current abilities ahead of the summer vacation. In particular, it is regarded as an important milestone for setting the direction of study for the remaining period in preparation for the upcoming September mock exam and the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).

The grade cutoffs (1st to 3rd tiers) for major subjects in this academic evaluation, as announced by EBSi, are as follows.

• Korean (Speech and Writing): 1st tier 90 points / 2nd tier 83 points / 3rd tier 75 points
• Korean (Language and Media): 1st tier 87 points / 2nd tier 81 points / 3rd tier 73 points
• Mathematics (Probability and Statistics): 1st tier 84 points / 2nd tier 75 points / 3rd tier 63 points
• Mathematics (Calculus): 1st tier 80 points / 2nd tier 71 points / 3rd tier 59 points
• Mathematics (Geometry): 1st tier 84 points / 2nd tier 75 points / 3rd tier 62 points

Experts emphasize that students must accurately identify their strengths and weaknesses in each area based on the results of this academic evaluation. They advised that in order to efficiently improve their scores during the remaining period, it is most important to go beyond simply checking scores and to reorganize study priorities by subject.
